In 1997 we decided to get involved with racing as a fun and exciting way to spend family time together on the weekends. It has continued to grow over the years and has become much more than just a hobby. David shows great potential and has aspirations of racing Nascar Sprint Cup. For the 2009 Season, David will be racing the #33 Late Model Stock Car at Old Dominion Speedway. Jessie is returning to the race track this year and will be driving the #3 Bandolero at Old Dominion Speedway. Ryan is now driving the #3 Legends Car at Old Dominion Speedway…it‘s a family thing…

DAVID
Saturday, September 27, 2008 - The last race at Old Dominion was scheduled for Saturday night but with the forecast of rain the officials cancelled the race and the race will not be rescheduled. We were very disappointed that we were not be able to race the last race and win the Championship in front of the fans. As we drove away from the track the sun was out and it was perfect weather for racing, however at 6:30pm the rain did come so it looks as if the official’s crystal ball was right.
David ended up winning the Championship by 51 points over our teammate Roger Austin Jr. In 13 races David had 4 poles, 7 wins, 13 top 5’s, and an average finish of 2nd place. David’s worst finish of the year was a 4th place. Roger Jr. in 13 races had 5 poles, 5 wins, 11 top 5’s and an average finish of 3.92. These numbers show what a dominate force David and Roger Jr. were, and between them, they won all but one race at Old Dominion this year.
David also has earned enough National points to be named the New Jersey State Champion. Unfortunately with the last 2 races raining out at ODS, and us not having a race to go to last week, we are not sure if David will be able to stay in the top 10 in the Nation, he is currently 10th. It will take a couple of weeks before we know for sure. Here is a link to the National Points Standings www.600racing.com/handler.cfm/template,points/cat_id,42511?class=2 once on the web page just pick a name and click on it and it will show you all of that drivers National results for 2008.

All in all it has been an awesome season this year which would not have been possible with out the support of our sponsors. Thank you to Flemington Car and Truck Country, Everitt Farm Equipment, META Pharmaceutical, Hardenburg Trucking, Austin Legends, Riverside Deli and Bakery, Pole Position Photography and Carvers NAPA of Flemington.
We also want to thank all of David’s fans, their support and cheers at the track are awesome and help keep us going.
We also want to thank all of you for following David’s racing and rooting him on.
We may try to pick up a couple of oval track races in the next few weeks just for fun and then we will be starting our road racing season. It looks like in November we will be in Rockingham NC and Summit Point WV. If all goes well we may be going to Las Vegas in December for the World Finals of Road Course Racing.
RYAN
Saturday, 8/30/2008 - Ryan raced at Chemung Saturday night, he started 3rd in his feature and 2 laps in he was making the pass for the lead when the leader spun out. The officials felt that Ryan made contact so he was sent to the back of the pack. On the restart Ryan made a nice move coming out of turn 2 and managed to take the lead by the start finish line. Ryan cruised the rest of the way and crossed the finish line first, how ever the officials didn’t like his pass coming out of turn 2 and said he jumped the start and they penalized him 2 spots which relegated him to the 3rd spot. Unfortunately that allowed the driver who is second place in the points to win the race. That also allowed him to gain some points on Ryan, Ryan still has the point lead but it’s real close with just 2 races left.
Both boys are in a pretty good spot right now and if they keep running the way they are we might see 2 championships. It’s pretty awesome.
David and Ryan will both be at Chemung next weekend.
Keep watching our web-site for updates and remember to check the track web-sites for pictures and articles.
